My name is Dave Rono, an Award-Winning Filmmaker and a Car Enthusiast passionate about creative storytelling. I specialize in film production, concept development, and public relations. As a self-driven leader with outstanding organizational skills, I've built a diverse career portfolio having started my career in high school which gave me a head start and a smooth transition into the film industry. My filmmaking experience has blended well with my passion for the automotive industry and that is why I am currently seeking an opportunity to work with a brand in the automotive industry specifically with their marketing department in crafting and executing Marketing strategies through Social Media.My notable works includes the acclaimed short film "Why Me?" and the web series "High Life," both of which I produced during my high school years as the Director of the Midas Film Club. Why me? went ahead to scoop the best voice over award during the Kenya Film Summit in 2021 and High Life created a spotlight on my brand. My college years were vibrant as I continued to take upon leadership roles including being the club president of the Ultimate Gamers Club and eventually the President of the student council at ADMI. I also became the pioneer student to achieve the leadership medallion program that enables students to earn points for being present in school activities, events and clubs. My work experience extends to working closely with independent brands by creating content tailored to their target market. Industry personalities that I have worked with in at least three projects include: Emmy Kosgei, L. Biko Nyongesa and Nyokabi Macharia. Currently, I am the media coordinator at KITFest Trust, overseeing coverage of programs and activities by the organization such as Kenya Theatre Awards and the Kenya International Theatre Festival. Finally, I founded VEDA Productions in 2019 to offer production services and create authentic Films and TV content. So far, we have delivered a wide range of projects for our clients, various companies, the organization I am currently working WITH and two government parastatals. Let's connect!
