Consulted with clients regarding network security, topology and structure.Designed and implemented intra and internets. Provided network and computer administration as well as custom programming using C++, Perl, SQL, ODBC, CGI and HTML. Designed and developed projects including several Win32 Perl extensions, ISAPI filters, a Win32 port of the GDBM database library and web based shopping carts.Analyzed clients' networks and authored reports regarding network security, specification compliance and guidance for future computing direction.

Maintained development schedule and coordinated project development and testing between CyberEvolution and its clients such as Microsoft.

Team leader of 11 administrators and was responsible for an internal LAN and state wide WAN. Topology included Ethernet (10/100 mpbs), Token Ring, SoNet, Frame Relay, Dial On Demand modem banks. Configured Bay Network hubs and switches, Wellfleet routers, various modems and T1 DSU/CSUs. Wrote and maintained various Perl and C++ applications for administration, CGI scripts and database maintenance. Administrated Microsoft SQL Servers, Microsoft Internet Servers (IIS versions 3.0 & 4.0), Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0 servers and workstations as well as Windows 95 and Sun Spark stations running Solaris. Used tools such as HP OpenView and Optivity to manage the network via SNMP. Sat on various management committees, reported directly to the Director of Operations. Proposed, designed and implemented cost reduction programs. Additionally, technical presentations to management were required to explain complex computer and network issues and concepts.

Supervised computer technicians and managed computer and related equipment for division personnel. Implemented and managed both client/server and peer-to-peer network operating systems based on the MS Lan Manager domain model (Windows NT, IBM OS/2, IBM PCLAN, MS Windows for Workgroups, Windows 95) on interconnected token ring and Ethernet networks. Macintosh and PC clone hardware and software diagnostics, troubleshooting, implementation, system configuration and optimization were key factors in this position. Administration, development, evaluation, and procurement of computer and network facilities played a major role in the position as well as securing mission critical data.Programming in C++, Perl, Visual Basic and XBase were required. Project management, department wide committee participation and user training played an integral part in the position.
