[I started a new job as programmer at Computrition on 2/2/2009. Computrition was the major client account I worked on while at Appropriate Solutions.]After receiving a doctorate in zoology from the University of Massachusetts, I discovered that I preferred computer journalism and programming. As technical editor and writer, I have contributed to several computer magazines including MicroComputing, PC Resource, and Byte (where I met Ray Cote and another ASI Senior Developer, Steve Apiki). During my final year at Byte, I worked as a programmer on the Byte web site.I served as a Senior Developer for ASI from 1998-2009. I worked from customer requirements to write detailed technical specifications, select appropriate software tools for the program, and write the code.Among other projects at ASI, I created websites with the Django platform that enable small businesses to establish and maintain web-based stores relatively inexpensively. I also developed a number of web sites based on the content management systems Plone and Drupal.I am a member of the Monadnock Linux User’s Group and the Northeast Oracle Users Group, and am an Oracle Certified Professional DBA.
