I manage the Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance which is a private non-profit organization that focuses solely on the most powerful economic driver of the global economy; manufacturing. Our mission is to work strategically with manufacturers to create wealth at the client, community, and state levels. The Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance’s strength is in its partnerships. Through our collaborations at the federal, state and local level, we put manufacturers in position to develop new products and customers, expand into global markets, adopt new technologies, reshore production, and much more. We accomplish this through a statewide network of manufacturing coaches and experts located in the communities they serve. Providing outreach to manufacturers by connecting them to outside services and programs; Educating our local and regional partners on manufacturers needs and drivers of behavior; Connecting the gap between technology developers, R&D organizations and manufacturers; and, supporting workforce development to grow manufacturing.The Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance delivers a high return on investment to its partners and taxpayers. Over the past four years, for every one dollar of state and federal investment, the Manufacturing Alliance generated $24 in new sales growth and $16 in new plant and equipment investment. This translated into $212 million in sales growth and $107 million in bottom-line earnings. During this time the Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance also created and retained more than 6,100 jobs within the state while engaging on average 900 manufacturers each year. Created and grew global sourcing capabilities for Mercury Marine managing product quality, currency, material costs, language, and logistics through the use of long term contracts, on-site representation, and automotive sourcing standards.
