The Development Director provides leadership of the development/fundraisingactivities needed to support Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity’s ministry.Acquire new donors and retain current donor base.-Work closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to establish objectives, goals, strategies, and timelines for on-going and future fundraising efforts.-Provide primary staff support to our fundraising effort and its volunteers.-Work with the Executive Director, Development Committee, and Business Manager to create the annual Development budget.-Develop the annual fund raising plan to meet the budget.-Supervise the Development Coordinator and the Community Outreach / Volunteer Coordinator. Provide leadership and coaching.-Prepare proposal-based funding requests for entities such as Community Foundation, Junior Welfare League, Rotary, etc.-Provide guidance and support for 3 rd party fundraising activities.-Manage the Development expense budget.-Provide leadership for our annual events.-Oversee the donor record/acknowledgement policies and processes to ensure the timely and appropriate recognition of all contributions and pledges.-Lead our staff in expanding community involvement.-Facilitate and manage appeals and newsletters.-Lead the enhancement and ongoing management of our marketing initiatives.-Grant writing.

I love to work out, exercise and train so why not teach a few classes as well. I am certified as a Group Exercise instructor for MOSSA Group Core and Group Ride.

Developed the program content for a four day teen leadership conference hosted by Rotary District 6290. Over 150 teens from across Michigan and Ontario gather in Tustin Michigan to learn skills that will help them be leaders in their respective schools and communities. I develop the program content for the conference along with managing the budget, staff and guest speakers.

Destination is a community collaborative focused on making completion of post-secondary education an achievable reality for every student in the greater Holland/Zeeland area -particularly low-income students, students of color, and students who will be the first in their families to attain a degree or credential.My role is to bring together community members, businesses, schools, non-profits, social service agencies etc. under a common agenda to address issues facing youth in our communities related to achieving academic success.

I co-manage the Keystone Program, Boys & Girls Clubs of America' s National Character and Leadership program for 14-18 year olds. This included program development, program management, creating and providing training to our Club staff, organizing an annual National teen leadership conference and managing the Social Media accounts for the program. I also manage BGCA's National Teen Advisory Council consisting of 80 teens from around the world. I host focus groups and discussions with the council to gather feedback on teen trends and culture along with their perspectives on BGCA National programs and initiatives.

I support local Boys & Girls Clubs in the Midwest Region with their overall program to their members. I provide consultation services, training, program reviews, help Clubs set goals and strategies around program improvement and increasing membership etc.

Provided training to local Boys & Girls Clubs in the area of teens (ie. programming, recruitment and retention of, overall teen program consultations). Worked with a team to manage BGCA's National Teen Leadership program called Keystone Club. This included program development, training and consultations to local Clubs and serving on the management team for our annual National and Regional Teen Leadership conferences.

Developed, implemented and managed the local programming and outreach to teens in the Greater Holland Community for the Boys & Girls Club. Collaborated with social service agencies, non profits and youth ministry programs to best serve the youth in our community. Provided academic assistance, job readiness and character and leadership programs for an average of 80+ teens a day between the hours of 3-8pm. Led the formation of the City of Holland Gang Reduction Committee.
