We developed an industry leading test system successfully sold and implemented at customers including Komag, Maxtor, IBM, and Read-Rite. We then formed an exclusive worldwide alliance with HP for marketing and sales. Sold company to Swan Magnetics, Inc.

After deciding to go back into start-up world, heavily recruited to take double promotion to lead all of IBM's SMB server business, but declined offer.

As VP Engineering (1988-1990) assisted in defining Parallan’s mission, business plan and fund raising. Built highly productive engineering team that delivered, on schedule, the world’s first multiprocessing fault tolerant PC compatible network application server. This effort included a unique two year joint development effort with Microsoft on their multiprocessing version of OS/2 LAN Manager.As SVP of Business Development (1990-1991) Responsible for strategic alliances with major development partners (inc. IBM, Microsoft), independent software vendors (inc. Novell, Lotus, Oracle), and OEM partners (inc. Nokia).IPO 1993, later sold to Western Digital
