I provide senior leadership to a church of approximately 500 members. I lead a talented staff team of 6 FT and 4 PT employees. I am responsible to lead our elder board. Northwest Presbyterian became the hub church for Campus Outreach Columbus in 2012. Our 20 staff minister at Ohio State, Bowling Green State, and University of Cincinnati. In 2015 we launched a church plant team to another Columbus area suburb. In Fall 2014 our church successfully concluded a two year $1 million dollar generosity initiative to help support these endeavors. In 2018 we completed a second generosity initiative which concluded our work to reduce our facility debt from nearly $1.3MM in 2007 to $0 in 2018. I am passionate for Christ-centered expository preaching and whole person discipleship. I am an editor for the Jonathan Edwards Global Sermon Editing project and contributed to the "Jonathan Edwards Encyclopedia" published in 2017, each led by the Jonathan Edwards Center at Yale University.

In addition to serving as Senior Pastor at Northwest Presbyterian Church I am a ministry coach for Leaders Collective. I mentor -11 church planters on critical ministry skills from personal spiritual formation to financial generosity. I served nearly 12 years in a combination of Army Reserve and Active Duty status. I received additional training in hospital ministry at Madigan Army Medical Center. I provided chaplain support to an Army Reserve unit mobilizing for the first time since World War 2 directly after 9/11. I was activated for 16 months and deployed 11 month to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I was a Battalion Chaplain and led a Unit Ministry Team with responsibilities to provide ministry at a large base and at forward locations. I was awarded the Bronze Star at the conclusion of this combat deployment.

Led core group through elder and deacon training, election and installation of first Session and Diaconate, completing the denomination's particularlization process and subsequently elected as initial Pastor of new PCA congregation.Initiated planting of first Young Life ministry in western South Dakota.
