Born and raised in Abbotsford, I am proud to be part of this multicultural community and have been focused on community outreach from an early age. Currently, I am the President of the Fraser Valley Indo-Canadian Business Association, a board director for the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation, as well as the General Manager of North America's first bilingual newspaper, The Patrika. Among my many other community roles, I have been involved in fundraising for the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre, The Canadian Diabetes Association, Abbotsford Police Foundation, and The Abbotsford Food Bank. In 2020, I helped form the Abbotsford Business Community Coalition (ABCC), organized to help local businesses after the economic impact of COVID-19. I have also played a leading role with a team of community volunteers that have been organizing free grocery packs for families struggling during the pandemic, and helped create the Seva Food Bank in Abbotsford. A driving force in forging strong community links, my love for the community motivates me to constantly strive for improvement and progress. I wish to elevate our community by embracing its diversity and making it an inclusive place that people of all backgrounds can continue to take pride in calling their home.
