Lead, Follow, or get of my way!As a brand new Second Lieutenant the Infantry School introduced me to this philosophy in a little more colorful language. It has been my guiding leadership philosophy ever since. Serving me well throughout my career, which has encompassed strategic decisions, M&A, operations, finance, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and human relations.In my business career I have had the opportunity to accomplish many things. I have turned around underperforming business units while resolving significant problems. I have improved both top line and bottom line performance. And in all cases I have built strong and highly motivated teams.My best business experience was the sale of a company. The process began with business valuation. Then I had to buy out a disgruntled minority shareholder. Preparing the offering memorandum and negotiations with potential buyers and investment bankers consumed months.
