(formerly Dave Thoma Consulting) I managed the successful design, implementation, and management of eCommerce platforms and digital transformation initiatives for a diverse set of Fortune 1,000 companies in the retail, biotech, and manufacturing space. Grew organization to a 40-person eCommerce, technology, and digital marketing enterprise until I sold the company in 2019.● Amazon (1994–1995): As team lead, I created the Internet’s first affiliate program which accounted for 15%+ of the company’s revenue throughout the 1990s.● eCommerce: Strategic consulting for notable clients such as Amazon, Home Depot, Ferguson, Columbia Sportswear, Lowe's, Invitrogen/Life Technologies/Thermo Fisher Scientific, LifeWay Christian Resources, Pastors.com, iBelieve.com and REI.● Home Depot (2006): Implemented Endeca InFront technology for guided search and navigation which resulted in a 28% increase in online revenue and a decrease of 87% in null search results.● Invitrogen / Life Technologies (2002–2005, 2007–2009): I led 30-plus person team that successfully deployed eCommerce technology stack (Hybris, Comergent, Adobe Marketing Cloud, Omniture, and FAST Guided Search & Nav) with integrations into enterprise legacy systems for a biotech company in San Diego. The project paid for itself in the first two months and increased online revenue from $0 to $3.6B over a 5 year period while simultaneously lowering order-taking costs by 91%.● Bed, Bath & Beyond (UK): Increased organic search traffic by three million visitors monthly with the introduction of a SaaS based, keyword optimized landing pages.● Marketing Pros (2008–2019): Partner in a digital marketing agency supporting 10k SMBs (doctors, lawyers, builders, etc) subscription packages for SEO, PPC, GTM, Analytics, CRMs, video marketing and more.
