As a performer, Dave appeared on Broadway in NO, NO, NANETTE; DIFFERENT TIMES; GOOD NEWS; IRENE; ROGERS & HART; A CHORUS LINE; Bob Fosse’s DANCIN’; DREAMGIRLS; PETER PAN with Cathy Rigby, and National, Internationaland, and Regional theatre productions of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF; NO, NO, NANETTE; DAMES AT SEA; GOOD NEWS; IRENE; ROGERS & HART; A CHORUS LINE; Bob Fosse’s DANCIN’; DREAMGIRLS; ON YOUR TOES; LITTLE ME; SOUTH PACIFIC; PETER PAN; MY FAIR LADY. He created the role of Stuart in the new play POET for the Edward Albee Festival at the University of Houston, under the Direction of Playwright Lanford Wilson. He recently received glowing notices for his portrayal of John in Connor MacPherson’s SHINING CITY for Theatre Downtown in Orlando, and works as the Drum Major for the Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corps at the American Adventure in Walt Disney's EPCOT.Dave is also a Director and Choreographer, and was closely associated with the late Michael Bennett, directing and choreographing numerous production of Mr. Bennett’s two best known works, DREAMGIRLS and A CHORUS LINE. He’s also had the honor of directing many stage and television personalities including Gavin MacLeod, Nanette Fabray, and Kaye Ballard in NO, NO, NANETTE, and Gretchen Wyler in Cole Porter’s CAN-CAN. He was Resident Director/Choreographer for the Grass Valley Performing Arts Center, where he directed and choreographed productions including A MY NAME IS ALICE, SHE LOVES ME, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and YOUR A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN. For the Bayou City Concert Musicals company in Houston he directed successful benefit performances of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, SHE LOVES ME, and 70 GIRLS 70.
