Key Portfolio deliveries:• Upgraded the RAC's Breakdown and Recovery applications database from Oracle 10 to Oracle 12 to ensure the database version maintained vendor support. This complex delivery included: o migrating the database to new physical serve o performance and load testing of the new Oracle Data Guard setup o updating the Oracle client on over 600 desktops• migrated the RAC's Business Continuity technical solution from SunGard to Daisy• successfully completed a technical pilot of Microsoft's Azure Virtual Desktop(including MFA and network security) • migrated the entire RAC's Commercial Breakdown Application Platform to a new data centre• implemented a fully operational network solution (WAN/LAN/Wifi) in the new Manchester office/decommissioned IT infrastructure in old office• Implemented the CrowdStrike corporate security tool to the entire RAC server/end user compute estate• relocated/migrated the RAC secondary (Disaster Recovery) data centre• implemented multiple server upgrade projects• migrated the RAC's Production Virtual Server estate to new underlying physical infrastructure• managed a full RFP process to select a new Contact Centre / Telephony platform and support partner

The replacement platform delivered improved E2E system performance, critical new functionality that delivered operational efficiencies and ensured the entire platform remained in full vendor support. I was the Infrastructure and Test PM on the programme and successfully delivered the following challenges/complexities:- migrated on premise server platform(production and non production) to 3rd party Data Centres(Primary and DR)- upgraded Oracle database from version 8 to 10 and implemented Oracle Data Guard- implemented multiple WAN circuits to connect datacentres to RAC offices- tested/integrated 50+ interfaces- executed performance, stress and load testing of the new application, database and network layers- fully tested the new DR platform / procedure - executed OAT testing of the new platform- using 3rd party, completed a full security/pen test of the new platform/infrastructure- defined/managed the technical cutover plan that included data migration, 50+ interfaces and 600 users- decommissioned the legacy server and network infrastructure

The product offered call centre customer / order management, branded end user portals, provisioning of fixed line and BB services, MIS, Billing and Payments applications. The product was supplied and maintained by 4 principal 3rd party suppliers operating onshore/offshore delivery models.

Designed and implemented a corporate Test Strategy that included establishing an offshore test proposition, creating a ‘Test Family’ within the organisation, enhancing internal company testing standards and QA procedures and defining new test related sales and marketing literature/content.

Programme Technical Delivery Manager - I managed the multiple technical workstreams within the programme.The Web Channel programme successfully implemented a suite of new Internet applications for the Retail outlets staff and for the Orange customers. The programme implemented New Customer Registrations and Existing Customer Upgrade applications for the Orange Retail staff. The new applications introduced fully usability tested UI workflows that where more performant and included fully automated drop down selections/decision making. The new Customer Applications included Manage Your Account, Shop and E-Billing.

Programme Technical Delivery Manager - I managed the multiple technical workstreams within the programme.The Excalibur programme successfully implemented a series of projects that transformed the contact centre customer Billing Enquiries and Handset Upgrade/Replacement processes. The solutions introduced agent usability improvements and 'fully automated decision making' that successfully reduced agent handling times and significant improvements to the Customer Satisfaction Score.

The Business Systems Test team provided a testing service that covered all of the non core mobile network business applications/systems. During this period, the Business system test team played a critical role in helping Orange achieve their year on year phenomenal subscriber growth.
