Created the high-profile "Home Runs for Food" program with the Tampa Bay Rays major league baseball team to benefit local food banks. Initiated and led strategic advocacy advertising, earned media and community investment initiatives that transformed public perception of the phosphate industry in Florida and paved the way for establishing the Mosaic brand.

Led the branding and public/community/media relations for this highly acclaimed, nature-based resort and conference center project (www.streamsongresort.com) from concept creation through grand opening. Developed by Mosaic on 16,000 acres of formerly mined land in Central Florida, Streamsong is recognized as a model of economic and environmental sustainability.

Led media, public relations, brand awareness, investor relations, financial and product communications for this newly public, materials technology company based in Tampa (until 2004) and with principal operations in Tampa, California and South Korea.

I was the hands-on, senior corporate executive responsible for corporate and financial communications, investor relations, human resources and government relations for this NYSE homebuilding, mortgage financing, mining and diversified industrial manufacturing successor to Jim Walter Corporation.

I provided executive leadership and execution of all external and internal corporate communications for this diversified, NYSE Fortune 500 industrial company with major interests in: homebuilding and financing; building materials manufacturing; coal, marble and aggregate mining; chemical production and foundry operations. JWC was taken private in a high-profile leveraged buyout by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. in 1987 and later reemerged as a new public company, Walter Industries, Inc.
