I am a skilled and qualified Mechanical Design Engineer with 20 years’ dedicated experience in mechanical engineering, design, manufacturing, and maintenance procedures. The recipient of a South African Bureau of Standards (SABS/DISA) design award on two occasions, I have demonstrated my strong problem-solving capabilities and creative mindset.With in-depth, hands-on experience across the entire product development lifecycle, I am adept at taking products from concept, design, prototyping, testing, final design, tooling and machine design, and into production. I display strong technical expertise in jigging and tooling, injection moulding, extruded aluminium heat sinks and housings, die castings, sheet metal manufacturing, conventional machining, elastomeric seals, hydraulic pumps, metal fabrication, and more.As a natural innovator, curious thinker and problem-solver, I constantly strive to find better ways of working and have contributed to the invention of approximately 30 patents. In a role that demands the need for innovation and value engineering, I ensure that unique ideas and cost saving solutions are implemented to meet the highest quality standards.
