The LeadsCouncil is an independent association, whose members are companies in the online lead generation space from buyers to sellers, technology solution providers and investment professionals. Dave and Jay Weintraub founded the LeadsCouncil in January 2010. Dave ran day-to-day operations for the organization and helped build the organization from 0-150 member companies in less than two years. Dave was the founding General Manager of TARGUSinfo’s Interactive Markets Division in 2005. Dave and Paul McLenaghan created the industry’s first real-time lead verification solution- On Demand Lead Verification (ODLV). The introduction of the solution provided lead buyers and sellers with the first flexible information services solution to help measure lead quality from the perspective of whether or not a lead could be contacted.In his tenure at TARGUSinfo, Dave also launched the Online Lead Quality Summit in 2006. The event was the first official conference for the lead generation industry and helped push the debate about the importance of lead quality to the forefront of lead buyer and lead seller’s minds.Dave left TARGUSinfo after 8+ years at the end of 2009. TARGUSinfo was subsequently sold for $650,000,000 to Neustar Inc. in November 2011. Dave’s Interactive Markets division represented 19% of TARGUSinfo revenues at the time of sale.
