Assisting Head coaches Graham Wise, and later, Johnny Duco in aspects of running a hockey team at the university level.Year 1: Focus on statistics. Expanded the original database of cumulative stats to be more in depth, visual, and accessible.Year 2: Began tracking Icetime and Fenwick stats. Recorded all players' time on the ice and crossed that information with even strength shots for and against, to evaluate line pairings and overall chemistry.Year 3: Custom coded an app for the team called 'Rams Hockey'. It serves as a central hub for all important information. It allows players quick and easy access to their schedules, video and advanced analytics, scouting reports, opponent video and line combinations. The app also features a section that provides helpful links to fitness apps, Toronto transit maps, useful training accessories and more.Year 4:Built and custom coded several custom apps tailored to gathering and tracking information the coaches request. Built a 'Puck Possession' app, which allows us to track player's time possessing the puck and compares it against opponent's possession time, and adds a third layer of data for study.Built a digital shot chart app, which allows a tracker with a tablet or laptop to mark shots, scoring chances, goals, and missed shots by their location on the ice. Added further features that allow you to attribute each specific event to a player, which then automatically populates a cumulative stat sheet, as well as syncs the event to video for easy reference.Essentially, with only 2 human trackers and 2 devices, every player can be tracked, every touch of the puck is recorded, and every scoring attempt is recorded. This can all be done live.Year 5:Full on focus of video using Sportscode. Using a custom built keyboard rig that lights up and reacts to my key presses, I can track every player on the ice, as well as zone entries and exits, scoring chances and over 40 game-specific events.
