Dave Wiggins is a freelance actor, musician and producer. In 2022 Dave formed BigWig productions, a production company comprised of several independent creative services. BigWig Productions is based in Bedford, UK. BigWig has produced and managed 'The All New Blues and Soul Revue' - one of the UK's leading Blues Brothers Tribute Bands since 2002, with whom Dave Wiggins has toured internationally and performed an estimated 1500+ shows in character as John Belushi's original creation ‘Jake Blues'.When he is not performing live or on camera, Dave is an established musician and performing arts instructor with a proven track record of working within SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) environments. From 2022, Dave will trade as BigWig Productions in order to offer 1-1 screen acting tuition and consultancy - and will also commence screen acting group classes for all ages and abilities, locally to Bedford and St Neots, Cambs. Dave graduated from the University of Bedfordshire in 2019 with a first class degree in Performing Arts (BA Hons) , and then again in 2020 with a Master's Degree (MA, Distinction) in Screen Performance and Communication Techniques. Through his postgraduate programme, he expanded his production portfolio, venturing into short film and documentary making, which is now a subsidiary venture of BigWig Productions. BigWig Productions represents live entertainment including a host of tribute acts and bands and also represents Dave as a freelance actor, musician and presenter. BigWig Provides also provides acting and music tuition, from beginner to advanced level, offering advice in both technique and professional practice at industry level. BigWig does not offer musical instrument or vocal tuition, instead focussing on artist development and professional practice. BigWig Productions can also supply various other services for any event, including TV and film car hire for promotional use and a 'big pan' catering service.
