Intello was acquired by SailPoint and I was offered a role as a result of the acquisition. The scale of our target customer increased by two orders of magnitude as a result of the acquisition. I worked with the team to pivot our focus to scale the SaaS Management product to serve SailPoint's largest customers and prospects.My specific technical accomplishments include: migrating message passing to kafka for improved throughput and reliability, analyzing and optimizing event consumers for throughput, tuning queries for low latency and improved UX, and supporting the team as a DevOps lead (we are using our pre-acquisition infra during this time).After gaining experience with SailPoint's excellent culture and reflecting on my career path, I took the opportunity to transition into a management role.

I built an analytics system that leverages high volume time-series data to reveal deep insights into how our customers are using their SaaS applications.I quickly took ownership of Intello's infrastructure code where I designed and began supporting a complex network migration effort. I work with a globally distributed team building a novel product for commercial motor carrier insurance. I am an individual contributor building product features in a non-trivial Clojure/Clojurescript codebase leveraging Fulcro for data-driven UIs. I add additional value in the areas of client and product management, DevOps, payment processing, and compliance.

I migrated all infrastructure from Rackspace to AWS leveraging services like Secrets Manager, Route53, EC2, SQS, Cloudwatch, RDS and more. All production and pre-production components are now built with a destroy/create model using Terraform which has saved engineering countless hours managing and standing up new instances of the stack, including code deployment. I tirelessly promote DevOps best practices to reduce toil within the team which has lead to objective gains in developer productivity. I also have improved system performance and resillience by implementing and leveraging APM tools to guide enhancements, fixes, and incident response.I have served as a lead developer on strategic large projects, and regularly execute spikes into new technology and patterns. I review others' code and regularly provide feedback and guidance to ensure our code standards are being upheld. I am also game to crank through small bugs and features if that is what the business needs at the moment.
