The REC has over 8000 members of its Institute of Recruitment Professionals dedicated to best practice within the recruitment industry. The REC was voted Trade Association of the Year in 2015 and continues to have significant influence with the UK government and in Brussels. It is a member of the worldwide staffing organisation, CIETT. In 2016 Dave was appointed as a Business Mentor for REC members across the organisation as part of the REC's new mentoring scheme.

Oscar Delano supports SANDS, the Still Birth and Neo-Natal Death Society in its work to assist the 17 families a day who experience the death of a child up to 4 weeks old.Oscar Delano became part of NextGear as the business grew into a Partnership in 2016

Dave joined the JM Group in 2009. His appointment followed a strategic review when the Board concluded that, in order to accelerate growth both organically and through potential acquisition, it needed to strengthen its management team.Dave began a position as Non-Executive Director at JM in January 2015, when he created his own advisory, consulting firm (of which JM became one of the first clients).The JM Group business was successfully sold at the end of 2015 and is now part of Staffing 360 Solutions a multi-disciplined US and UK based recruitment business. As CEO Dave was responsible for driving the profitability of the JM Group and executing a growth strategy to include additional delivery to new clients, the creation of new technology practices, the hiring of new consultants and senior leaders and the positioning of the business to meet client demand.In 2011 JM Group launched JM Digital as a response to its clients' increasing demand for digital services. JM Digital is a key supporter of Digital Shoreditch and activities within Tech City.The work of the excellent team at JM saw the company garner 7 industry award nominations for the first time in its history. All of these nominations came between 2011 - 2015. In addition, in 2013 JM was chosen by its banking provider to be a case study for its clients in business turnaround and growth during tougher economic conditions.JM was nominated as Best Recruitment Firm to Work For (SME) at the RI Awards in October 2013 and the REC IRP Awards held in December 2013.In addition following the turnaround in JM fortunes, Dave was shortlisted as a contender for Business Leader of the Year 2013 at the Recruitment International Awards.
