With over 20 years of firefighting experience, including three years as a Fire Prevention Specialist, I have gained extensive knowledge and skills in fire safety, pre-fire planning, facility inspections, and risk assessment and control (RAC). Throughout my career, I have not only responded to fires and emergencies but also taken on additional responsibilities such as reviewing and writing Fire Emergency Service Action Plans (FESAP) reports on Fire Prevention. I have also been involved in the development of Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) and Facility Management Instructions/Standard Operating Procedures (FMI/SOPs).My firefighting journey has been enriched by my military service, where I spent five years serving as a firefighter with deployments to various locations, including Afghanistan and Kuwait. These experiences exposed me to different firefighting scenarios and heightened my skills in emergency response and disaster management.In addition to my firefighting background, I hold a BSN degree that showcases my comprehensive understanding of nursing and patient care. I strongly believe that my combined knowledge of emergency management and nursing can play a valuable role in emergency response situations. I am confident in my ability to provide medical assistance and address the healthcare needs of individuals affected by emergencies and disasters.Furthermore, my ASN degree in Emergency Management provides me with specialized education in the field, augmenting my skills and expertise in managing and mitigating emergencies and disasters.
