Reporting to the Postmaster General, I am responsible for driving strategic business planning, performance monitoring, and evaluation within the Department. My key responsibilities include:Aligning corporate functions, ensuring that all key corporate and support functions are directly linked to the Department’s objectives.Managing organizational performance: continuously monitoring and evaluating performance to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Preparing comprehensive reports, providing internal and external stakeholders with insights into our corporate performance.Integrating stakeholder expectations, incorporating the National Development Plan, Ministry directives, and partner agency requirements into our Strategic Business Plan.Facilitating performance enhancement: coordinating strategic planning sessions, evaluating performance targets, and recommending strategies for achieving our objectives.Ensuring compliance: adhering to the Government of Jamaica’s Performance Monitoring and Evaluation System (PMES) standards.

Reports to and advises the Postmaster General on the coordination of postal policies, as well as their impact and best practices for the postal sector.Coordinate the development and implementation of postal policies that align with the portfolio Ministry’s strategic direction and national priorities.Conduct research on emerging trends and issues in the postal industry and liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Reported to the Senior Director, Youth and Adolescents Policy and supported in policy analysis, formulation, implementation, and evaluation.Conducted relevant research in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on youth development issues and trends.Investigated pertinent facts and data to establish and inform national policies to guide youth development activities and programmes.Prepared and presented policy briefs, reports, and recommendations to inform decision-making and youth development programmes.

- Reported to the Permanent Secretary and advised, supported, and managed the policy development and implementation of programmes for the care, protection, and development of Jamaican children and youth.- Oversaw and monitored all internationally funded projects related to youth development and ensured alignment with national priorities.- Directed and coordinated the activities related to the National Youth Policy and related policies.- Oversaw the planing and implementation of flagship youth programmes such as Annual Youth Month activities and Prime Minister's National Youth Awards.- Promoted linkages at the national, regional, and international levels with respect to the youth development portfolio.

Provided consultancy on intervention services, supporting the development of specialized programs for individuals with special needs.Leveraged in-depth knowledge to advise on and shape effective intervention strategies, delivering tailored solutions that addressed unique challenges.

Assisted with the development and execution of educational and behavioral change programs, significantly enhancing the personal and professional growth of individuals and groups.Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to tailor intervention and sensitization initiatives, driving organizational transformation and fostering a culture of positive behavior practices.

Facilitated the “Evolve into a Man/Woman Programme,” mentoring children and adolescents through academic support and life skills development, fostering their potential and guiding positive life choices.Conducted weekly educational assistance and personal development sessions, significantly contributing to the holistic growth of young individuals.

- Coordinated, facilitated and monitored government youth development programmes and activities on a community and parish level, reaching over 5000 youths in various sectors such as education, health, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement.- Provided technical and capacity building support to over 100 youth networks and youth-led organizations, enhancing their skills, knowledge, and resources for effective youth empowerment and leadership.- Advocated for youth development within the context of programmatic assistance for youth spaces, ensuring that the needs and interests of youths were represented and addressed in youth programming. - Conducted youth empowerment sessions and established referral network to positive youth development services, empowering youths to access opportunities, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals.

Provides individual and group counselling services to meet the developmental, preventive, and remedial needs of students.

The Principal Officer of the USM with responsibility for leading the USM Council and managing its operations in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Movement, with responsibility for issues involving the general welfare of students, issues relating to the administration of institutions of higher learning and administrative planning for the USM and USM Extensions and represent the USM on the NCU Administrative Council, NCU Citizenship Committee, and the NCU Campus Family Life Council and any other official committee or organ of the institution.
