The London Underground Limited - Railway Engineering Workshops (R.E.W.) were a £6B business conducting all of the maintenance on the London Underground heavy rail fleet and trackside equipment. Commencing as an accountant my role developed such that I was responsible for the devolution of the transactional processes to move from the corporate ERP to an in-house fully integrated ERP including full manufacturing and standard costing in preparation for privatisation of the division. I quickly progressed to the role of financial controller after developing and implementing all of the transactional processes of the division into its own stand alone integrated maufacturing ERP system. My role was to ensure the financial transactions and cashflow were sufficient to support a high quality private enterprise servicing all of the rolling stock and trackside signalling of the entire London Undergroud system.
