This merge occurred because of the KABA group and DORMA group in Germany becoming one: dormakaba.Working from the same office in Whitby, my role as Junior Accountant from Keyscan Inc. was promoted to Financial Analyst. Working in the Americas division, reporting standards still followed Swiss GAAP FER.I was tasked with looking over all accounting functions for Dorma Door Controls Ltd. (also known as Dorma Canada) located in Mississauga.A list of my updated tasks were as follows:- Utilizing Dorma Canada's Sage 300 system to perform all accounting entries, reconciliations, and allocations.- Bank reconciliations for Dorma Canada, both USD and CAD banks- Reviewing, approving, and entering expense reports in Concur for all employees in Dorma Canada- Month end entries for Dorma Canada (and Keyscan when time permitting)- Month end reporting in HFM to corporate for Dorma Canada- Account reconciliations for Dorma Canada (and Keyscan when time permitting)- Monthly depreciaiton analysis and journal entry for Capital (Fixed) Assets- Process all intercompany transactions and reconciliations- Analysis of P/L to create reliable forecasts on a quarterly basis- Monthly controller comments to explain the numbers compared to last month and prior year- Monthly reporting and PowerPoint presentations used to present to the Americas segment teamAt the end of 2018, I was tasked with transitioning Dorma Canada's accounting system from Sage 300 to SAP P10. I was tasked with transferring the Accounts Payable subledger, Account's Receivable subledger, and General Ledger.I was also a part of the Social Committee at Keyscan as the Treasurer. Our goal was to help create a positive and social work environment to help boost productivity and increase team morale across all divisions.

My job as a Junior Accountant at Keyscan Inc. was very dynamic as it was constantly changing due to the KABA group from Europe purchasing the company. Primary reporting standards used was Swiss GAAP FER, with shares on the Swiss Stock Exchange.My primary role was to help out the General Accountant and Controller with month end tasks, and to help transition the Sage 50 (Simply Accountant) accounting system to Microsoft Dynamics Axapta accounting system. The Axapta transition project took 8 months to complete. My role was to create Excel load files for different ledgers in the accounting system, mainly focusing on the General Ledger. Mapping tables were used as well to map all old Sage accounts to new Axapta accounts, with cost centers and department numbers.Aside from the Axapta transition, my other tasks were as follows:- Daily inventory building and serialized build procedures within Sage- Bank reconciliations and deposit clearing journals for both USD and CAD banks- Reviewing and filing travel request summaries, reviewing and entering expense reports- Month end journal entries and account reconciliations- Month end reporting for internal use only- Monthly depreciation analysis and journal entry on Capital (Fixed) Assets- Monthly revaluation of Bad Debt and Allowance for Doubtful Accounts with adjusting entries- Monthly revaluation of foreign exchange accounts primarily in USD- Creating budget spreadsheets for the sales team to help compile to the entire Keyscan Inc. budget- Other mini projects in the office to help with better internal reporting, and creating new efficiencies
