My role in Enterprise Data Management has developed my leadership skills and provided new opportunities of development. I look forward to continue engineering enterprise solutions for PNC and advising its big data community.I joined the team as a data steward and quickly advanced to a more technical engineering role. After taking this role in September 2018, within six months, I taught my first Hadoop education session to a 100+ person audience in our big data community. Public demonstrations are now second nature as I frequently host in depth technical educational sessions for our community. I record my sessions and house them on a public forum to support the education of the enterprise. I have expanded metadata as an enterprise asset on the Hadoop platform. Branching beyond technical and descriptive metadata; I have been able to introduce new concepts, offering an advanced understanding of the data in our ecosystem.Notably within the past year, I took the lead role of architecting a CCPA response engine for our two largest data warehouses, Hadoop and Teradata, and separately advised on the implementation of data tokenization to both data warehouses. I have led data engineering projects and efforts, specifically applying Hadoop and Spark based solutions to Anti-Money Laundering and Advanced Analytics projects. I have proven my capability to create innovative solutions via the application of logic and SQL based tools like Tableau and Trifacta. I also served as a key player on-boarding the Trifacta software, a recently implemented tool at PNC, and have been able to continue to teach our data community the best practices and advanced usage patterns of the tool. Through my advisement, serving as a technical-advice center of excellence on many topics, I have contributed to the short term needs, and long term successes of the big data community at PNC.
