I am the Managing Director of a German multi-national, responsible for the Australian and Fijian operation of the business. I joined the company as the company accountant in 1994 before being appointed as Finance Director in 1998, then Managing Director in 2009. Due to Covid-19 and the gradual decline of the garment and textile industry throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Fiji Islands it was decided in late 2020 to sell the business and close the entity. I don’t want to retire; I feel I've still got plenty to offer and I want to continue to be challenged. I'm loyal, trustworthy, energetic and good in a crisis. I’ve been a company man most of my working life and am not ready to retire. I was brought up on a mixed sheep and wheat farm in central Victoria so I know all about hard work. I have been to the Antarctic, worked on farms in England, Denmark and Canada before commencing my accounting career. I feel that I’ve still got plenty to offer and I want to continue to be challenged.
