The Center for Health Education Medicine & Dentistry (CHEMED) was founded in 2009 to provide a comprehensive, integrated system of health care to individuals and families in Lakewood and the surrounding areas. They provide outstanding preventative, treatment and health education services. CHEMED offers many services including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Women's Health, Behavioral Health, Radiology (including Mammography), Dentistry, Podiatry, and specialty services.During my time interning, I was tasked to survey patients of CHEMED Health and provide a comprehensive overview of the optimal method of distributing fluoride to the citizens of Lakewood. In addition, I advocated and appealed to community leaders to consider implementing fluoride in the public water systems of Lakewood Township.- Created a short survey that was distributed to patients in the various departments of CHEMED Health- Addressed concerns gathered from the patients and discussed them with various community leaders- Worked alongside 8 medical shadow students and helped inform the Lakewood Fellowship students

Olami represents a united effort of over 300 organizations worldwide striving to secure a vibrant, engaged and knowledgeable Jewish tomorrow.Served as a co-campus ambassador to Rutgers University and was in charge of recruiting Jewish students into Jewish programming. Was later promoted to North American Regional Ambassador, where I speak to Olami member organizations about Jewish greatness.Within my role at Olami, I currently:• Conduct student outreach and recruitment for a multinational educational non-profit organization • Am responsible for event planning, social media campaigns, public speaking engagements, and one-on-one recruitment meetings, in which over 100 new members have already been recruited, surpassing designated quotas• Participate in marketing & sales training seminars

The Senior Peer Instructor position is a unique mentoring opportunity for former Peer Instructors (PIs). These students return to the First-Year Interest Group Seminar (FIGS) program in their senior year to assist in the process of interviewing, selecting, training, and supporting new PIs. They share stories from their FIGS classrooms, review lesson plans, and mentor a small group of PIs. Senior Peer Instructors also have the unique opportunity to learn more about student development, effective instruction, and program administration.First served as a Peer Instructor within the FIGS program, teaching/mentoring a group of twenty-five first-year students about the various programs and opportunities Rutgers University offers, through a pre-dental lens. Was later promoted to Senior Peer Instructor, where I mentored a group of six current Peer Instructors on classroom management, time management, etc.During my role as a Senior Peer Instructor, I have:• Advised and mentored 7 peer instructors on classroom management, instructional strategies and resource development• Reviewed lesson plans and provided specialized feedback on curriculum development throughout the summer• Worked with professional career development staff and other peer instructors to give feedback on courses, created workshops and ran several training programs

I shadowed in all of the different departments listed above, and was also tasked with completing a research project by the end of the summer to be presented the CHEMED administration. Was recognized for my research on The Evolution of Dental Care in Orthodontics by The CHEMED and Lakewood Fellowship Boards.• Sat in on committee planning meetings • Attend morning rounds• Shadow physicians, dentists, PAs and nurses• Ask questions and take notes to learn more about life in the healthcare field• Conduct research project in the field of community health • Interview public officials and physicians for research
