I am a director at DN23 & Associates. I went into private practice in 2020, where I ventured into estate management, and became au fait with Governance in HOAs and Sectional Title Schemes. I was an academic at the Nelson Mandela University for close to 19 years, where I taught labour law, legal interpretation international law and IHL. I continue to teach on an ad hoc contractual basis. I am a research associate in the Faculty of Law, Nelson Mandela University, as well as an associate in the Labour and Social Security Law Unit, also Nelson Mandela University. I am a co-author of "Labour Law in Context", a Pearson publication used at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. As a consultant my current focus areas include chairing disciplinary hearings, drafting various documents and contracts, policies, MOUs, and SLAs. I also advise employers on compliance matters and often acts as mediator on internal matters relating to misconduct and incapacity. I have a strong human rights background, and always strive to ensure that fairness prevails for all parties that I engage with, using the values as enshrined in the Bill of Rights of the South African Constitution.
