Develop existing training program to meet current needs. Continuously review and improve SOPs for efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. Design and create training aides and materials. Provide an encouraging and positive learning atmosphere for prospective employees. Keep all trainee files organized, accurate, and up-to-date. Provide orientation tours of facility and develop a rapport with trainees. Introduce trainees to management, supervisors, and key employees. Provide classroom training using safety and instructional videos, testing, and visual examples. Equip trainees with company issue safety harness, box-knife, and visual reference booklet. Assign each trainee a personal locker. Provide hands-on instruction in the proper use of safety-harness. Demonstrate, instruct, and evaluate trainees in the operation of walkie-jacks, ride-on pallet jacks, forklift, high-reach lift, and man-up stockpicker machines. Demonstrate and instruct trainees on proper order-picking procedures, use of the "Jennifer" voice-recognition system, palletizing, and staging. Perform 30/60/90 day evaluations on trainees performance, accuracy, and ability. Adjust instruction and training to the individual trainee's needs. Make recommendations to Operations Manager on the permanent hiring, further development, or termination of trainee. Provide advanced training (Quality Control Checkers, Truck Loaders, Repack Pickers and Stagers). Provide guidance and tips to veteran employees. Create and analyze weekly reports on trainees' and veteran employees' productivity and accuracy data. Address performance issues with individuals in a timely and professional manner. Assist in the supervision of all warehouse associates. Assist in the picking/checking/loading operation when not training or needed in a supervisory capacity. Occasionally perform yard-jockey duties when needed.
