Responsible for managing the Group’s (2 Banks and a Credit Card Processing Company) business change initiatives The key projects undertaken were:1. Branch Automation Project2. Retail Lending - Business Re-engineering Project3. Call Centre Project4. Trade Finance - Eximbills Upgrade5. Commercial Bank - Business Re-engineering Project6. Cards Back Office - Business Re-engineering ProjectPlus involvement in a number of others: Saudi Bank Project, Pakistan Bank diagnostic; Mass Retail Project involving McKinsey Consulting.

Responsible for the development of the International Network Operating Model specifically focusing on business processes, procedures, and associated organisation models.Played a lead role in the development implementation planning, implementation frameworks and associated rollout kits.Worked in Chennai, India (for 8 months) with a major US based consulting firm, re-engineering Grindlay Bank's Retail Banking and centralised back office operations.Developed and project managed a BPR programme focused on the Middle East and South Asia Regions. This required active (on the ground) participation in the each of these regions over a 12-month period.

The focus of this role was to provide quality operations support services and process improvement consultation to the Australian Banking Business Units, primarily the Retail Bank. The operations support role embraced the following functions: Network Support, Risk Management, Production Systems Support, and Doc Support.Key outcomes:1. Development and rollout of a programme to minimise the Bank’s non-lending loss exposures across the Australian Banking Operations 2. Developed and rolled out a Business Resumption Plan for the Retail Bank network. The methodology and associated frameworks were adopted as a ANZ Group Standard 3. Numerous re-engineering projects aimed at optimising designated key Retail Banking processes

The Eastern Project has been regarded by many in the ANZ Bank as the catalyst for transforming the Bank’s traditional approach to banking to one focused on meeting the competitive requirements of a deregulated financial market. The project primarily focused on reconfiguring the Retail Bank business model, delivering centralised processing and a ‘sales & service’ branch delivery channel.This role was responsible for the development of the centralised back office model, in concert with McKinsey Consultants. Additionally the team was responsible for piloting, facilitating and supporting the rollout of the model Australia wide.
