Member of the Translational Immunology group funded by a large industrial collaboration between a large pharmaceutical company and the Kennedy Institute with the goal of validating current clinical targets and new target discovery for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and related inflammatory diseases. I am leading projects validating current T cell specific clinical targets in rheumatoid arthritis - including experiment design and implementation. In addition I am the project manager for mass cytometry (CyTOF), the newly emerging technique which allows the comprehensive phenotyping of heterogeneous cell populations combined with functional profiling of signaling and cytokine pathways active within individual cells.

Investigating the role of T cells, natural killer cells and their associated cytokines in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis

Completed my Ph.D. titled "The role of CD4+CD25+ T cells in regulatory responses to allergens". My studies involved investigating the contribution of regulatory T cells to allergic disease.
