David joined the Nanometrics team in 2021 as Chief Financial Officer. Headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, Nanometrics is an award-winning company providing monitoring solutions and equipment for studying man-made and natural seismicity to scientific institutions, universities, and major corporate customers across the globe. A Chartered Accountant from the UK, David moved to Ottawa, Canada in 1993 after having completed eight years in public accounting practice in London, England. David initially joined ProSlide Technology Inc. (a global leader in the amusement industry) in 1994 as Financial Controller. He eagerly took on progressive roles within the organization and was promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer in 1996, prior to assuming the role of Senior Vice President Corporate Affairs in 2016. The knowledge and experience gained from participating in the growth and transition of a small private company into a recognized leader in a global industry over 25 years is invaluable. It enables David to provide insight on a variety of corporate matters and business solutions for customers that drive an organization forward. This makes David a valuable internal resource and respected member of the Executive Management Team at Nanometrics.David is a leader who brings passion and commitment to every role.
