Developing collaborative opportunities and managing funding bids with industry.University of Hertfordshire - Business Development Manager, responsible for developing and sustaining commercial relationships with businesses across sectors that include aerospace, automotive, mechanical engineering, telecommunications, life sciences, physics, astronomy and maths. Facilities available include subsonic and supersonic wind tunnels, motor racing simulator, interactive SMART Lab, animation and visualisation suites, atmospheric sensing labs and electronics labs. Also responsible for Business Development in Creative Arts including Music, media, film, animation, 3D Printing, 3D Modelling, Architecture and Fashion. University of Bath - Identifying, organising and managing collaborative research projects between the University of Bath and industry/ external agencies. This included the Centre for Digital Entertainment, which in partnership with Bournemouth University, works with digital media companies, particularly in animation, gaming, TV, film, marketing and heritage sectors to place highly capable researchers on industry projects. I was also the Centre Manager for the £7.2M Innovative Design and Manufacturing Research Centre. A major project at Bath was the Laboratory for Integrated Metrology Applications (LIMA), which worked with businesses in the field of dimensional measurement and verification, bringing the latest technology to enhance business performance, including 3D laser scanning for a range of applications; I had a role here as the Business Manager.
