Analytical Chemist

* Supervisor backup to the group. Assigned samples for testing, ensured testing was completed within required compliance windows, approved completed data and submitted samples as completed. If investigations were warranted, wrote investigations and updated lab management as to the status of work in progress.* Trainer of new analysts into the lab. Mentoring performed on laboratory and safety SOPs and instrumentation used for routine stability testing in Pfizer, Parsippany. * Document and conduct analytical investigations for OOS or questionable results. Includes evaluation of initial data, conducting investigational measurements, comparing historical data, assessing corrective actions and documenting final write-ups for management and QA approval. * Perform stability testing of marketed and non-marketed drug products including assay, degradation and dissolution with analyses by UV, GC and HPLC. Other testing performed by pH, TLC, KF and other wet methods as indicated in Stability Protocols for the products being tested. Perform trending analyses on collected data. * Worked on the development and implementation of electronic data acquisition system into the lab using the ePMC Smartlab (electronic notebooks) system.* Write and update existing laboratory SOPs, datasheets and method tips (additional informational documents not included in stability methods) as required by the laboratory.* Lab representative for the Pfizer Safety Committee. Performed quarterly safety audits and conducted safety trainings for both new and seasoned analysts.
