•Work in partnership with the CFO and Budget Director in all phases of the organization’s finances•Develop and monitor internal budgets for the organization’s 60+ programs•Meet with individual Program Directors on a monthly basis to discuss budget variances and revise revenue / expense projections as necessary•Work with Program VP’s to create pro forma budgets for new federal / state contracts•Prepare and report all financial information to the government for federal / state contracts, ensuring that all contract requirements have been met, including the documentation of revenue sources, minimum staffing requirements, and the performance of all reportable services•Revamp the UFR Audit process, resulting in an efficient, accurate, and well documented audit, while improving the relationship with the audit team

HomeGoods DivisionGeneral:• Experience includes thorough accounting background in all areas of the business, including Distribution Centers, Stores, Home Office, and Field• Annual budgeting with rolling plan updates• Perform quarterly / annual SOX testingDistribution Centers:• Lead the accounting for the division’s distribution network• Work closely with the operations team for the onboarding of two new distribution centers and assist with the training of the building’s Finance & IT Managers• Ensure accounting for the new buildings is done in compliance with GAAP, assets are appropriately capitalized, and non-financial components (CPU, OPH) are reported accurately• Create and present curriculum to educate non-finance groups/individuals about the importance they have in the financial reporting process [Purchase Orders, Supply Inventory, CPU/OPH Reporting, Accruals, Contracts, etc]• Perform mock audits on new buildings in order to prepare them for their first official audit Stores:• Collaborate with operations group to ensure that everything is properly accounted for and upcoming projects are captured in the rolling forecasts• Improve and/or develop financial models to track, forecast, and calculate accruals for each individual store for all major expense categories• Ensure stores that are remodeling/relocating are accounted for in accordance with GAAP• Enhance files by using technology to improve efficiency and accuracy, allowing additional time for analysis

• Work on various types of audits and including: retail, service, manufacturing, and non-profit• Perform audits in accordance with GAAP from the planning phase through the issuance of financial statements• Develop a comprehensive testing approach for new clients based upon strategic goals set forth during planning• Prepare financial statements and disclosures accurately and in accordance with GAAP• Build and maintain valuable relationships with clients by providing quality service, meeting their needs, and reaching deadlines
