 Implement and manage a lending framework focused on the risk-adjusted return of SunTrust’s loan portfolios, including the creation of sub-portfolios categorized as relationship driven, high growth/high return & scalable/actionable to provide the most efficient use of common shareholder equity. Evaluate and execute on loan portfolio acquisitions and divestitures across Consumer, Mortgage and Commercial lending. Present Executive Management with improvement opportunities to increase shareholder returns relative to current practices. Lead a high-performing team of senior analysts and support their growth as future leaders of the Bank.

Liquidity Stress Testing• Perform ad hoc stress tests on SunTrust’s balance sheet, serving as the key source of the integration of liquidity and capital management processes.• Lead monthly liquidity stress testing across various legal entities and business units in compliance with Regulation YY.• Serve a as a key contributor to provide correspondence to the Federal Reserve regarding liquidity stress testing methodology and processes.Resolution Planning• Formulate and execute various liquidity stress scenarios to arrive at a point of non-viability.• Complete valuations for business unit and legal entity transactions using prior knowledge of mergers and acquisitions.• Serve a reviewer of the complete Resolution Plan, challenging assumptions and ensuring accuracy and completeness.Capital Management• Serve as a key resource for CCAR stress testing. Responsibilities include:o Challenging the financial forecast for each macroeconomic scenario.o Proposing capital actions to senior & executive management.o Populate capital & RWA related FRY-14A templates. • Provide monthly financial analysis on SunTrust’s current and forecasted capital position under Basel III reporting standards to senior and executive management via verbal and electronic correspondence.

Capital ManagementMergers & AcquisitionsInternal Valuation Performed financial due diligence on potential acquisitions, including the $40 billion Hudson City Bancorp transaction, $10 billion acquisition of Wilmington Trust Corp. and the FDIC K Bank transaction. Completed submissions of three CapPR (CCAR) reviews, which focused on the 9 quarter capital build, sources and uses of capital and credit-related losses. Evaluated large-scale capital expenditure impact on the Bank’s financial statements by utilizing financial modeling techniques. Maintained and updated financial models used as decision-making tools, including a branch consolidation and cost savings model.
