30 years teaching experience. Currently responsible for 2 major initiatives at Shire Oak Academy. The first is implementing a digital transformation at the Academy moving from a Google to Microsoft based teaching and learning platform and to a 121 device position for all staff and students. After just over a year with Microsoft we have been granted "Incubator" status and are now aiming to become a Showcase school in the near future. My second major responsibility is Primary Partnership Coordinator. My major role here is to manage and run the Academies Digital Schoolhouse program with our 10 feeder primary schools. I organise and maintain this program, which is now in its 8th year of running and sees every Y5 and 6 student coming to Shire Oak for a mornings computing workshop at some point during the school year. I alsi attend and assist with the Partnerships Headteachers meetings and input into other primary partnership programs. As a class teacher I have experience of teaching from Y5 to Y13. I have taught most ICT qualifications during my 30 year careers, including the new A' Level Computer Science, GCSE Computer Science and OCR Creative iMedia courses. I am more than willing to teach a variety of other subjects including Business Studies, Economics, Maths, Science and PSE. I have lots of experience of staff training at the schools I have worked at as well as training their primary feeder school staff. I successfully gained the ICT Mark for Shire Oak for 6 years (Academy decided not to renew this time due to monetary constraints). I have chaired middle managers meetings and completed middle management courses.I was Subject Lead for Computing at Shire Oak Academy from 1998 to 2022, when I was offered the exciting opportunities I am currently working on. I also have I experience of setting up and maintaining websites as well as basic to Intermediate technicians work.
