Mentored analysis team that evaluated options for transporting the Army’s heaviest equipment, enabling Army leaders to make a $6 billion decision to acquire more than 2000 heavy transport vehicles. Led analysis of sustainment implications associated with change in national strategy, informing future strategy development and organization design.

Coached and developed cross-functional analysis teams conducting operations research, modeling-and-simulation, and human-dimension analyses. Directed multi-organization analysis to define, describe, model, and evaluate a critical workflow process, which provided military service leaders with awareness and understanding of a critical system shortfall. Led a major component of a capability analysis that informed National Security Council decisions and received recognition for excellence in analysis. Authored and edited technical reports. Consulted with analysis teams as optimization expert.

Earned doctoral degree in Operations Research, with core curriculum grounded in mathematical programming, computer science, statistics, and engineering. Researched mixed-integer optimization, with focus on decomposition techniques. Research insights applied to multiple classes of problems, including facility location, transportation scheduling, and infrastructure protection. 2000-2001: Led 136 personnel in providing all manner of logistical support for an aviation unit with 24 aircraft, 100+ ground vehicles, and 300+ personnel, located in Pyongtaek, South Korea. Contributed to organization earning recognition as Army’s best aviation unit.1996-1999: Led flight element with seven pilots, five aviation mechanics, $100 million in equipment, and a 1200-hour flight program, located in Savannah, Georgia and later in Ali Al Saleem, Kuwait. Advanced to serve as Deputy Support Operations Officer, assisting in providing logistical support for an aviation unit. 1995-1996: Flight Student - Daleville, Alabama. Completed advanced and initial-entry pilot training. Distinguished Honor Graduate for initial-entry class.
