Responsible for Jeffcom911 network and firewalls, including - Cisco 2960-X distribution and Nexus 9300 core switches - Cisco ASA firewalls with Firepower Services, planned migration to Palo Alto - Meraki WLAN - General IT support.Management of the Jefferson County Fiber Optic Network (JFON), owned by the Jefferson County Emergency Commutations Authority (911 authority). - MAN with 12 sites connecting police and fire agencies in the county. - Brocade CES-2024F-4X switches, mpls with vpls tunnels.

Led a team of eight technicians in four regional shops in the engineering, maintenance, and operation of over seventy Public Safety radio communication sites in Northeast Colorado. Radio system is Motorola P25 Astro 7.18. Lead project engineer in statewide 240 site Aviat Networks Eclipse microwave upgrade. Administrator for Aviat Provision network management platform.

Provide radio, network, and IT expertise to a regional 12-site Motorola trunked simulcast Public Safety radio system that provides reliable voice communications to eight 911 dispatch centers and over 13,000 subscribers.

Led a team of five network analysts responsible for the data, voice, and radio. Provided customer-focused support to 15 major departments, including Roseville Police and Fire Departments.

Technical lead for networks and radios. Implemented Cisco LAN, WLAN, Firewall, and AAA. Migrated from single 5-channel Motorola trunked radio system to three site 10-channel Simulcast system.

Contributed in a broad range of roles as member of the IT Engineering Department, supporting computer and network operations, desktop technical support, and desktop services.

Ensured the reliable 7 x 24 operation of e-mail, group scheduling, and remote access services for a division of 2000 Macintosh users. Assisted in corporate LAN development and operations. Project Manager for initial UTP network installation. Initiated enterprise desktop backup.

Worked primarily as a Direction Finding (DF) Subsystem engineer supporting the research and development of airborne COMINT reconnaissance systems. Developed antennas for the U.S. Army’s RC-12 Guardrail program. System administrator of lab HP-UX computers.

Developed a broadband helix antenna for an airborne jamming system.
