Ballet has always been a part of my life. I started my training with Ballet Yuma at age 7 until 17 years old. During that time I received full scholarships and attended Marin Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, RDA Craft of Choreography Conference, and San Francisco Ballet (SFB) School summer intensives. Upon completion of the SFB summer intensive I received a full scholarship and stipend for the full year program. The next year I became an apprentice to SFB, and the next year was promoted to Corps, performing in the company for 12 seasons. I toured with the company every year and was fortunate enough to have many new ballets choreographed on me by the world’s leading choreographers. I also participated in several gala performances in Asia, Europe, and domestically. During that time I started honing my craft of choreography and my love of teaching.I retired from SFB in the summer of 2010, and was the Artistic Director of Juline Regional Youth Ballet for 10 seasons, and the Assistant Artistic Director of Mid-Columbia Ballet for 2 seasons.I was a staff writer for Dance Studio Life magazine for 5 years contributing Ballet Technique tips monthly.
