We love what we do and have a shared sense of pride in the homes we create. OUR WORK spans historic renovations, aesthetically sensitive transformations, contemporary interventions, and new construction. Over the years, our portfolio has expanded within San Francisco, Marin, Wine Country, and the South Bay, including several historically significant homes and an exciting slate of new projects. I've been careful to keep trusted client partnerships at the fore of all we do - it's the vital ingredient to making our work insightful, supportive of life, and reflective of style.ABOUT ME: I remember being drawn to architecture growing up in New England surrounded by beautiful colonial-era homes. After starting in DC (stunning Palladian architecture), a '97 trip to San Francisco enamored me with its rich architectural history, culture, and natural beauty. I spent the next decade working for Bay Area notables David Gast (Gast Architects) and Sandy Walker (Walker & Moody), refining my skills and perception on custom projects in San Francisco, Napa and Hawaii; and my solo work in parallel. In 2008, I co-founded our firm and began developing a savvy team that's still part of DAA. After six years of growth, I became a sole entity and re-branded as David Armour Architecture. In 2019, I renovated a neglected 1920's retail space in San Francisco’s dynamic Lower Haight neighborhood into our inspiring, light-filled studio.
