Commercial real estate developments and transactions are the focal point of my real estate practice. I assist clients in developing mixed-use, multi-family, retail, office, hospitality, renewable energy, and professional sports projects in Washington, DC and other major urban markets nationwide, including New York and Boston. I also have experience with transactions and leases involving hotel, retail and office properties in major urban markets nationwide. My experience also includes assisting with remediation and redevelopment efforts for a portfolio of contaminated industrial sites located throughout the United States. Large institutional clients, including national REITs, are my primary clients. I assist with development-related transactions in large urban markets. I also handle leasing matters for retail and office properties. On behalf of developer and institutional clients, I handle a broad range of entitlement, zoning, permitting, development, and historic preservation public processes for projects across the District of Columbia. I regularly appear in front of numerous regulatory and governing agencies in the District, including the Zoning Commission, the Board of Zoning Adjustment, Zoning Administrator, Public Space Committee, the Historic Preservation Review Board, National Capital Planning Commission, and the Commission of Fine Arts, as well as a range of neighborhood and community organizations.I have significant experience handling complex negotiations, resolving conflicts, and drafting easements, development agreements, and other documents between his clients and abutting property owners, utility companies, and government agencies involving all aspects of real estate development.
