The role represents the cultural shift in social media that has de-romanticized traditional forms of advertising such as TVC, print, and digital banner ad placements; in favor of scrappier/more social first executions (i.e. TikToks, Reels, stories, & various other forms of organic social posts).Similar to the classic role of "Art Director", the Creator role showcases an ability to own projects from start to finish, pitch directly to client, construct successful marketing campaigns, and autonomously ideate/create content at scale; all whilst serving as a mentor to more junior creatives. With the primary distinction being that the Creator role prioritizes conducting multiple trials and using platform best practices to tap into cultural insights that ladder up to a "big idea" (Super Bowl Commercial, Product Launch, On The Ground Activation, etc.); versus starting with the big idea out the gate.
