With 29 years experience in the industry I'm an accomplished manager with wide ranging civil engineering, utilities and tunnelling experience, in all UK ground conditions, including mechanised and hand excavated tunnels, HDD, guided and unguided auger boring, pipe bursting, steel sheet piling, diaphragm walls, jet grouting, ground water control, shaft sinking, earth works, RC structures, major road construction, mine water treatment works, MEICA installations, commercial buildings, culvert refurbishment, rail and hard landscaping.Reporting to the Managing Director and responsible for a work force of staff, operatives and sub contractors working across the UK. I review, maintain and improve all aspects of performance on tunnelling, HDD and auger boring projects, including liaison with all stakeholders and senior management teams. Overseeing of tender and construction phase planning, programming and resourcing for all contracts. Outsourcing and management of design teams. I work closely with the Estimating and Commercial departments to define and achieve targets.I'm equally at home in the board room as I am up at the face and have maintained the training necessary to access all areas on site.
