Responsible for managing the community and economic development efforts for SUSLA in the Martin Luther King area of Shreveport. Specific tasks were in the area of small business development, leadership training with the Housing Authority tenants, youth entrepreneurship training, and home ownership counseling. While at SUSLA, I served as the emergency shelter manager and served on numerous committees across the university. I co-chaired the annual economic development forum that was part of the outreach efforts of the division of Community and Workforce Development.
