Reporting to the Contracts Manager, responsibilities include but not limited to, managing all aspects of the development site, ensuring the provision of safe, efficient and cost effective works at all times, while maintaining the highest quality of work and customer service are delivered within the given timescales.Principle accountabilities of the role include:Manage the day to day running of the development and provide clear direction to those working on the construction site regarding their responsibilities and targets.Manage and implement health and safety procedures, working with the Health and Safety team and ensure that that all aspects of health and safety are followed and adhered too.Motivate, support and manage directly employed site staff, providing toolbox talks, training, coaching, and support as required to improve performance.Ensure site presentation is maintained at the correct standard at all times.Deliver all aspects of production requirements in strict accordance with relevant technical and planning documentation provided and any subsequent instructions that may be necessary from time to time.Fully conform to building regulations and warranty providers’ requirements (NHBC, LABC).Ensure accurate production/progress returns are updated and sent to the Contracts Manager and/or Construction Director as requested.Ensure that adequate site records are maintained including but not limited to Site Managers reports, labour requirements, plant, materials, site inductions and health and safety records.Thoroughly inspect and ensure any remedial work is completed in advance of each NHBC key stage inspection

Construction  Manager reporting to the Head of Construction.Principle accountabilities for this role include:Motivate, support and manage Site Managers by providing training, coaching and support as required to improve performance.Control preliminary costs in accordance with budget.Plan and programme work methods and build sequence on sites of responsibility.Regularly visit sites and attend weekly sub-contract meetings with Site Manager and Housing Association representatives ensuring that all necessary resources and information are made available to achieve programme dates or any target dates that may be set from time to time.Inspect quality of work during the construction process and give advice and support to Site Managers as required.Inspect record books on site relating to health and safety, NHBC, Customer Plot Files, Building Control records, plant and machinery records and scaffold records.Ensure that costs are controlled efficiently and that all resources are being used effectively.Keep up to date with customer care issues on sites to enable discussion with a view getting any issues resolved in a timely manner.

All of my work over the past 8 years has involved teamwork as part of multi-disciplinary project teams. I am highly organised, resourceful, self-motivated and disciplined in all the work that I do in order to deliver results to exceptional standards. . I have been responsible for particular aspects on projects varying in size from 60 units up to 300 units and up to a value of £20m.Responsibilities have included: Ensuring timely construction of the overall project whilst effectively managing Sub-Contractors.Ensuring that all site activities are completed in a safe and effective manner in accordance with statutory regulations and company policy. Ensuring full compliance with all company procedures for all site activities carried out. Establishing the work scope, programme, quality standards and budget for successful completion of project.

Manage the field operations including controlling sub contractor’s day to day operations and ensuring that material supplies are available in conjunction with the Site Manager.Assist the Site Manager in the planning and programming of site activities ensuring the work is completed in a safe manner and Deputise for the Site Manager when necessary. Duties included:Completion of weekly planning sheets to ensure the overall build programme is met.Provide direction to individual contractors and contractor’s management to ensure quality standards are met. Resolve any conflicts that may occur between operations.Co-ordinate with the Site and Commercial Managers to ensure the availability of materials to meet the construction programme. Effectively manage waste disposal and segregation
