• Managing 30+ workers including Shop Floor assembly, Warehouse, Purchasing, Test and Quality Departments.• Recruitment, training, development and motivation of all production staff.• Carrying out assessments and Appraisals of staff and conducting pay reviews.• Planning day to day jobs for assembly, working closely with Sales to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.• Reviewing supply chain, working with suppliers (some with spends over £1million).• Setting up lean production systems including Kanban and 5s & 6Sigma.• Managing all aspects of building maintenance, cleaning and facilities.• Working with design and sales teams to create practical and efficient processes for new and existing products or even ideas for product & ensuring design for manufacture.• Oversee all logistics including shipments from China and Europe, Palletized and parcel deliveries• Process improvement and maintenance of all mechanical equipment including 2 x £250,000 Robots.• Organizing warehouse, ensuring good housekeeping is maintained, overseeing dispatch of finished goods.• Communicating with customers to ensure all needs are met.

• Managing 25+ workers in surface mount, factory floor and test departments.• Recruitment, training, and motivation of all production staff.• Carrying out assessments and Appraisals of staff and conducting pay reviews.• Capacity planning product manufacture through Surface Mount, Conventional, Test and Special processes, creating effective work plans for each department.• Ensuring Achievement of Quality standards IPC-A-610/ISO 9001:2000• Coordinating Kaizen Teams to ensure constant improvement of processes, efficiency and materials.• Implementing Lean methods, working to 5s and 6Sigma methods• Liaising with all internal departments to ensure products were built to the highest quality and were delivered to the customer on time.• NPI –Management of new products through the complete manufacturing process, providing feedback where necessary to both ‘in house’ department and end customer. Being ‘Hands on’ and helping with build.• Procurement & installation of production equipment (last production line bought valued £200,000). Setting up maintenance routines and arranging service cover.• Procurement and development (including cost savings) of materials used in manufacturing processes.• Despatching finished product.• Ensuring Delivery on time was achieved.

• Planning Surface Mount workload.• Creating a production plan and liaising with the shop floor (next stage) to meet delivery schedules.• Programming, setting up and running products including Prototypes. • Maintaining all equipment and overseeing servicing (liaising with Machine and consumable suppliers when required). • Procuring and trialing any of the materials related to Surface mount production and subsequently overseeing all consumable materials, improving quality and cost saving.• Repairing/Reworking PCBs.• Overseeing Company move to new purpose built premises especially involved with equipment relocation and Set up, working closely with supplier engineers.• Process improvement on general production lines.• Working with quality department to improve overall quality by ensuring the best materials were being used across the company.• Maintaining all equipment and organizing servicing and procurement of new equipment.
