My role is to provide expert advice and industry knowledge on enterprise strategies, benchmarking and market intelligence for Queensland Rail. I am responsible for - the continued development of the Enterprise Strategy and Product Strategies of Queensland Rail. - leading senior management through the development of tier 1 and tier 2 strategies and ensure alignment with Enterprise Strategies. - Managing benchmarking for Queensland Rail and managing the relationships with our benchmarking groups both in Australia and internationally. - Providing market intelligence activities to drive strategic outcomes and long term planning for the enterprise. - Providing advice in the development of many of the over- arching strategies within the Functional areas of Queensland Rail. - oversight of strategic planning frameworksAchievements - Developed the Queensland Rail Enterprise Strategy with 3 time horizons, 18 months, 5 years and 20 years that deliver step change. - Redeveloped the 3 Queensland Rail Product Strategies to enable a better communication of the strategies. - Developed the Queensland Rail strategy hierarchy that provides a strategic framework for alignment between the enterprise strategy and all other strategies and plans. - Led the development of a commercial strategy for Queensland Rail- Delivered benchmarking reports on the performance of Queensland Rail against Australian and international operators. - Perform timely and relevant market research to develop meaningful management reports. - Researched and produced reports the Board and Executive Leadership Team on potential future strategic issues.

My role is to provide expert advice and industry knowledge to develop group wide transformational strategies. I lead the programme for Contractor Safety Management (CSM). CSM is implementing a number of projects across Australia for QR National.Additionally I also lead teams to develop analysis and strategies to enter new markets. I manage key projects that deliver critical business outcomes to give direction to the business.Achievements- Delivered induction training pack Australia wide for QR National to induct all contractors.- Developed a procurement selection process for the assessment of safety credentials of contractors throughout all states in Australia.- An integral team member for the development of transformational strategies for QR National Network Services.- Lead the development of analysis and strategic direction for the Central Queensland Coal and Western Australian below rail market for the Senior Leadership Team.- Designed the business plan and strategic reporting requirements for Network Services.- Development of value driver trees across complex business functions.- Provide expert advice and led the development and implementation of the CRM system for Network Services.- Trusted advisor to Network Services management on strategy.- Provide expert advice on market research to the National Business Development Manager.
