Promium makes the Element DataSystem® Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) used in hundreds of laboratories across the USA. Used Visual Basic 6.0 (VB6) in Visual Studio with SourceSafe code control. * 3-tier architecture, Incorporating Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs) for some functions, particularly where frequent updates occur.*Designed complex.

Customizing ACCPAC software (FoxPro) to meet client specifications

* Replaced the LIMS that I wrote in 1992/93 with the Element DataSystem LIMS to comply with new reporting requirements. * Designed and built a chemical inventory and MSDS tracking system resulting in more efficient chemical purchasing and compliance with fire marshal requirements,* Wrote the response to an Oregon state on-site evaluation. State auditors.

* Ran daily and weekly testing of cooling water, boiler water, waste water, ammonia and urea at an Ammonia/Urea plant. *Developed a PC based LIMS system using FoxPro v2.1 for Windows, allowing historical data trending and quicker reporting of data.*Created a smaller program for LAN users to access the database allowing plant operators in the control room.

* Managed day-to-day laboratory operations with up to seven chemists and lab technicians in a full service environmental and petroleum testing laboratory.* Implemented LAN system using Novell Netware * Designed, built and maintained laboratory information management system (LIMS) using FoxPro LAN for DOS to track samples and analyses, store and retrieve.

Work consisted of the analysis of crude oil, natural gas, lube oils, boiler water, process water, glycols, sludges, and scale, environmental water and soil samples, potable water and wastewater at the Prudhoe Bay Laboratory. * Worked on methods development and wrote Standard Operating Procedures for analytical methods.* Gained experience as QC officer.

Same job as above, but hired through the contracting company, Pingo Corporation.

Ran daily and weekly testing of cooling water, boiler water, wastewater in support of plant operations, and QC testing of ammonia and urea product. Mostly manual "wet" chemistry, but some GC and Atomic Absorption (AA) instrument work.
