David Bailey is an aspiring student at the Leibniz University of Hannover studying M.Sc. Energy Technology. He is working in the field of sensor engineering, already having gained practical experience through long-term student helper positions and successful internships.This includes developing high-voltage power sources for ion mobility spectrometer systems, analog front-end cards for the quench detection system of the superconducting magnets of the LHC at CERN, as well as full-stack monitoring and control equipment for the plasma heating systems of the innovative Wendelstein-7X fusion reactor.Currently he is finishing his Master Thesis at the Leibniz University of Hanover, developing a cost-effective and sensitive ion-current amplifier for a highly integrated ion-mobility spectrometer application.
