I am a Cambridge-trained veterinary surgeon with a degree in Zoology, and a PhD in Reproductive Biology from London's Institute of Zoology. I teach and organise much of the pre-clinical veterinary science teaching at Cambridge, and supervise projects for third-year medics and natural scientists. I also act as an admissions tutor, a pastoral tutor and have a variety of other administrative and strategic roles in the University and the profession. In addition, I am an author of popular science, with seven books published, often on the unusual features of human biology, which have been widely translated and extensively featured in print and broadcast media.
